Colloquium Locale.The Academy Colloquium will take place in the Trippenhuis (Kloveniersburgwal 29), the 17th century building of the Royal Academy named after the Dutch family Trip who commissioned the construction of the building in 1660. The Royal Academy has a short text on the history of the building on their webpage.

Getting to the Trippenhuis. To reach Amsterdam from the airport please purchase a train ticket to Amsterdam Central Station. The price is € 3.60. The Trippenhuis is in walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station (10 minutes). Click here for a route map from the Central Station (START) to the Trippenhuis (END). Hotel for the invited speakers. The invited speakers will stay in the Albus Grand Hotel which is located at Vijzelstraat 49 which is about 1.5 km from the Trippenhuis: click here for a route map to get from the Trippenhuis (START) to the Albus Grand Hotel (END). To reach the hotel you can walk (30 minutes), take a taxi from Central Station (about &euro: 10) or trams number 16, 24 or 25 (€ 1.60) getting off at Herengracht or trams number 4 or 9 getting off at Muntplein.
