Travel information
In view of traffic jams, parking problems and parking police, we strongly advice against getting there by car. The easiest way to reach the conference site is by means of public transport, bicycle, or `shanks' mare' (walking).

Public transport
From Amsterdam-Muiderpoort railway station: take tram 14 to Plantage Badlaan. From Amsterdam Central Station: take tram 9 or 14 to Plantage Badlaan.

Car
All motorways to Amsterdam lead to the ringroad `Ring' (A10). From Utrecht, Den Haag, Schiphol, Haarlem or Zaandam, join the Ring in the direction Amersfoort. From Amersfoort, join the Ring in the direction of Utrecht, Den Haag. Exit the ring at `S113/Watergraafsmeer' and head for `Amsterdam Centre.' Drive straight on towards the Tropen museum (museum of the Tropics), cross the bridge and on your right you see the zoo, the Roeterseiland complex is on your left behind the buildings.

Taxi
There are taxi stops near all railway stations. From Central Station, it takes about 10 minutes to get to Roeterseiland by taxi.

Plane
At Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) you can rent a car or take a taxi to get to ILLC (travelling time about 25 minutes, costs about 40 Euro). There is also a train service to Amsterdam Central Station. From there, follow the instructions under `Public transport.'
